ZeeScores™ is passionate about bringing radical transparency to franchise investing by giving prospective franchisees honest, anonymous insights from current and former franchise owners. Our goal is to help others make informed decisions, build up franchisors who are doing the right thing, and expose those who aren't. We want ZeeScores™ to be the first place prospective franchise buyers go to research opportunities - and serve as a way to hold franchisors accountable by making real franchisee experiences public.

Transparency changes behavior.

We want this to be a safe, open space for franchisees to share honest feedback - good or bad - without fear of retaliation or negative consequences from their franchisor. Anonymity removes the power imbalance and lets the truth come out.
We offer a voluntary verification process where we confirm reviewers are actual franchisees. Verified reviews are marked with a badge. We're confident in the integrity of this process and believe it's critical to maintain anonymity while making sure the verification process can't be gamed.
Scores are based on franchisee ratings across multiple categories: Overall Experience (weighted heaviest), Support Quality, Profitability, and Marketing. The final score is a weighted average on a 0-100 scale. We will consider different averaging approaches as review counts grow to address how we fairly compare items with very different numbers of reviews.
No. We never share reviewer identities with franchisors, franchise consultants, or anyone else. Even our verification process is designed to confirm you're a real franchisee without exposing your identity publicly.
ZeeScores™ is independently operated and has no affiliation with any franchisor, franchise broker, or franchise sales organization. Our only loyalty is to transparency.
We don't remove reviews under any circumstance unless it's determined, with a high degree of certainty, that the review was published from someone who was never a current or former franchisee of the brand in the review.

There's no Personally Identifiable Information (PII) collected or stored on review submission.

What is NOT collected:

  • IP address: Not captured or stored
  • Email address: Not asked for
  • Name: Not asked for
  • Browser fingerprint: Not collected
  • Location data: Not collected

The only PII stored is the phone number, and only when the user voluntarily opts into the verification process. You don't have to opt-in to the verification process to leave a review.

We use this phone number to start a quick verification process that we believe is effective in confidently confirming the authenticity of those reviews.

That phone number is only available to one person until the verification process is complete, and then that number is deleted from the system forever.
